Did I mention John Stewart is back on the job?!
Not only does this segment from the September 29th Daily Show remind us once again of the uncomfortable historical fact that without government investment, the American West would still largely be an uninhabited, un-electrified desert -- "History hurts my brain!" is the winning quote of the segment -- he also lampoons the absurd proliferation of "little people" and "real citizens" who are opposing climate and clean energy legislation - with the backing of big business bucks! (I wouldn't be surprised if the folks at DeSmogBlog have something to do with this segment...). Check it out towards the end of this video:
